12/28/2023 0 Comments Accountedge pro 2018![]() ![]() Remembering Last Used Deposit Account for Receive Money When initially setting up AccountEdge Connect, your preferences and linked accounts will set the setting within AccountEdge Connect (found in Settings/General Settings) to use the appropriate account for customer receipts. Undeposited Funds Account and Customer Receipts Account Usage If a sale has a negative total amount, a payment cannot be applied to this sale. Payments Cannot be Applied to Negative Sales However if an invoice has a $0 or positive total amount, the invoice will be remain an invoice even if the balance due is a negative amount due to a payment or overpayment. When an invoice has a negative total amount, when recorded it turns into a credit memo. Once converted to an invoice, if the invoice has a negative balance due, a credit is created which can be applied to an open receivable. This payment is treated as a customer deposit within your company file when synced. When a payment is applied to an order, this does not create a credit that can be applied to open A/R. Similar to a Credit Memo, an invoice that contain an overpayment resulting in a negative balance due/credit, can be applied to other open receivables using the Apply Credit button. We've updated the AccountEdge Connect frameworks and migrated to a new application server.The Purchase and Bank Registers will now remember any filters set after you drill into a transaction and then go back to the register.We've made additional changes to the user interface to allow for more information on the windows.Addressed an issue where Bulk Edit in a Billing Schedule was not working correctly on some schedules.There was an issue fixed where you couldn't manually change the sales tax code on a sale.We've also introduced the following changes and enhancements: Longer Tax CodesĪccountEdge Connect will support longer tax codes set up in AccountEdge 2020. This is used for when you are not charged sales tax by a vendor but your state requires you to pay Use Tax. Use TaxĪny Use Tax codes setup in AccountEdge 2020 will sync to AccountEdge Connect allowing you to apply Use Tax to purchases made. This is used for the new Sales Tax by State reports in AccountEdge 2020. Tax StateĪs with AccountEdge 2020, a new tax state field will be populated with the state from the address selected on the sale. You can assign a sales tax code to each of the contract addresses on a customer and vendor card. You can watch a video on Mass Emailing of Statements here. A new email template is also available for sending these statements including the option for a Pay Now button so customers can pay you online via the Customer Portal. You'll be able to choose which customers to email as well as filter by the number of days overdue. Mass Emailing of Statementsįrom the sales register you can choose to email statements to customers in bulk. You can watch a video on Online Sales Orders in the Customer Portal here. From settings, you can also set custom messaging, force payment upon saving an order and more. Your customer will be served up prices from your item's price list using any quantity discounts or price levels set up in addition to any item discounts set up on their customer record. You'll also be able to set up which items are available for sales. Using the settings for the Customer Portal, you can allow specified customers to place sales orders through the customer portal.
